Together with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, we organised a startup bootcamp for our brilliant scholarship holders and students. We talked about AI startups. Not the kind that pop up overnight and vanish by the weekend but the kind that solve real problems. Over six sessions, we walked through the chaos of entrepreneurship: 🧠 Ideation (a.k.a. how to turn annoying daily problems into business ideas) 🔍 Validating problems and understanding your target audience 🛠️ Building MVPs without losing your mind (or your budget) 📈 Business models that don’t involve “we’ll figure out monetisation later” 🚀 Marketing, funding, pitching and how not to crash and burn on demo day The result? Every participant walked away with: ✅ A validated startup idea ✅ A working business model ✅ A polished pitch deck and actual feedback (not just “looks good”) Startups aren’t magic. They’re methodical, messy and a lot of work. But with the right tools, even a room full of students can build something real.
