Why it’s different: This challenge is designed to be accessible even if you are a first-year engineer but it will still punish shallow thinking. You need to combine technical, economic, environmental and social factors. Application deadline: 25. January The journey: Inspiration Day | Jan 23, 2026 | BME Díszterem (Budapest) The topic and task will be presented in detail. As AI Phase, we provide workshops + practical technical support + Q&A on how to structure your approach. We’re also part of the jury. Online Round | submit until Feb 15, 2026 Deliverables: 3-page documentation + introductory video. Offline Round | Mar 18–20, 2026 | evosoft Universe (Budapest) + Pilis You refine your solution based on real observations in the Pilis and present your ideas. Why you should apply: Teams are up to 4 students, open to any background. You get a real sustainability problem, real constraints and real feedback. You can win €1000 / €700 / €500.
